A look i've been going for lately is a simple off white grey all over the lid, a tiny bit of black blended through the crease, a thin line of black liner and lashings of mascara with a coral blush. It's really simple to do and pretty flattering and a max up of casual and dressy

 

my week | one

22nd-29th April

This week has been pretty dull for me. I've been shattered most days due to lack of sleep and going to bed too late (damn you E4/facebook/phone) I've been doing some work, but not as much as I probably should be! I haven't posted on here in quite a while despite deciding I was going to post frequently - I would promise again, but I'll most likely be too busy to post everyday etc. After falling out of love with taking pictures, the urge has kind of come back, so hopefully I can do a weekly post like this at least! Thankyou for following if you have, it means alot :)

Having not gone to an aquarium since I was about four, the prospect of going to Bristol Aquarium was a little too exciting for me. It was great and a good opportunity for some good marine snaps ;) I have to admit, I was a bit scared of some of the fish... especially the octopus. Interestingly enough, a 27kg octopus can squeeze itself through a 2 inch gap... and if that wasn't creepy enough, cctv footage has been taken of the octopus climbing out of it's tank at night, eating the fish in other tanks and returning back to it's own tank before staff come back... O.o Also, they have bright blue blood with the consistency of jam which requires 3 hearts to pump it round the body... I think it's safe to say I'm afraid of them now!

Welcome to my new blog! It feels so strange writing a blog post after (what I'd consider) quite a while. I still have fernlaura.blogspot.com, I'm not planning on deleting it, I just wanted to private it while I focused on studies etc. When it came down to it, I didn't feel like I wanted to post there anymore - I feel unsure of what direction I wanted that blog to go in, and alot of people I know had found out about it... which makes me feel under pressure. So, I decided to start a new blog. I am hoping to focus it (mainly) on fashion, but we'll see...

Anyway, here's my first post - an ootd! I did miss posting photos of outfits, that's definately my favourite aspect of blogging. How gorgeous is the lace neclace my sister gave me? I love it, but am having a little bit of a hard time finding items to match it with... not quite sure if it works in this arrangement! It would mean sososo much if you followed this new blog if you want to see posts from me :)
